The Big Row: Love Rowing’s Annual Fundraiser
The Big Row is Love Rowing’s annual fundraiser raising funds for inclusive and accessible rowing projects across the UK – because rowing is for everyone!
Previous events:
In 2021, we rowed together as one giant crew from London to Tokyo and then back to Paris (a whopping 19,271 km).
In 2022, we rowed the circumference of the world, 40,075 km, to raise money for inclusive rowing initiatives in the UK.
Our most recent challenge:
After a break in 2023, The Big Row returned with an epic challenge in September 2024. In celebration of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, we collectively rowed the distance from Paris to LA, the next city to host the Games. We rowed 15,244km.
Nearly 300 hundreds people took part including, individuals, rowing clubs, school rowing clubs, regattas, and organisations all took part either on land or water.
It proved to be an epic challenge, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone that took part including:

People also took part at the Paralympic Fan Zane, Worcester Regatta, Maidenhead Scratch Regatta, Cambridge Autumn Regatta and the World Coastal Championships in Genoa.
Congratulations to Eton College Boat Club who topped the distance and fundraising leader board!
Everyone took part to raise funds for Love Rowing projects across the UK, because rowing is for everyone and it can change lives!
