Changing Lives Together Fund now open

Love Rowing and British Rowing are pleased to announce that the Changing Lives Together Fund is now open for applications.

This new partnership fund is designed to harness the power of rowing to change lives, supporting projects that open up participation, remove barriers and help more people access the physical, mental and social benefits of the sport.

Who can apply

We welcome applications from:

  • Rowing clubs

  • Schools and colleges

  • Community organisations

  • Partnerships working to make rowing more inclusive

What the fund supports

We are particularly interested in projects that:

  • Reach underrepresented communities

  • Increase inclusive and adaptive rowing opportunities

  • Help people start and continue rowing

  • Build sustainable participation programmes

Grants are expected to range from £500 to over £10,000, depending on the scale and ambition of the project.

We know applying for funding can feel daunting, so guidance, examples and drop-in sessions are available to help you shape your proposal.

We are hosting two online sessions, one at 19:30 on Wednesday 11 February and one at 12:30 on Thursday 12 February. These drop-in sessions provide an opportunity for questions and will be held via Google Meet, with joining links shared below. We welcome anyone considering an application to attend. Vacancy – Hon. Treasurer

We are seeking a new Trustee to join the Board of Trustees at Love Rowing. The role is voluntary.

Becoming a trustee for Love Rowing can be an exciting and fulfilling role. The role of a trustee is to ensure that the organisation fulfils its duty to its beneficiaries and delivers on its vision, mission and values. The board of trustees are both jointly and individually responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health, the probity of its activities and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.

The Hon. Treasurer plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial integrity and sustainability of the Foundation. Their primary responsibility is to maintain strategic oversight of the organisation’s financial affairs, ensuring that it remains viable, compliant, and well-positioned to achieve its charitable objectives. This includes ensuring that robust financial systems, accurate records, and effective procedures are in place and consistently followed.

The Treasurer works closely with, and is actively supported by the Foundation Director, collaborating on both strategic and operational financial matters to ensure sound governance and effective delivery.
